Here’s another 3-D item I have been working on.  These are similar to the mini decorative paperclips I’ve made which you can see HERE except these are the much larger clips.  You can find these clips at your local office supply store.  I used the On Board Batch of Blooms, which is a collection of ove 200 chipboard shapes and images. I covered the chipboard with Designer Series Paper and  then I added some ribbons and buttons.  Finally, I adhered the chipboard shape to the jumbo clip using crystal effects glue.

Aren’t these super cute.  These are the regular size paper clips you can find in your local office supply store.  I used my 3 flower punch to punch out  various colors and decorative papers.  I then punched a hole through the center using my mat pack and a paper piercer.  I finally inserted a coordinating brad to hold it all together.  Just a dab of Crystal Effects adhers the completed flower onto the paper clip.

Aren’t these pens adorable?  They are so super easy and fun to make.  I made these along with a matching notebook at a class I taught at the local library. Here how it’s done: First you need a  Pentel RSVP pen or similar style.  You will need a piece of decorative paper cut to the appropriate length..3½ " x 7/8". (This is a great way to use up all those little paper scraps you can’t seem to get rid of) . You also need a piece of double sided tape or sticky strip cut to same measurement as your decorative paper. Using snail adhesive or a glue stick apply the decorative paper to the pen.  Use a bone folder to firmly rub the paper onto the pen.  Then apply the sticky strip on top of that and rub that on firmly as well.  Gently remove the backing from the sticky strip to expose the sticky. **DO NOT allow the ends to overlap until the backing is removed. Roll the pen in the microbeads until well coated.  When fully covered roll the pen on a flat surface to press beads into place.  You can add a little piece a ribbon if desired.  ENJOY!!

Supplies:

Pen

Decorative paper cut to 3½ x 7/8"

Sticky strip cut to 3½ x 7/8"

bone folder

Microbeads

This is the favor cake I made for my sister’s bridal shower.  The bottom layer is made with chocolate chip cardstock.  The middle layer is purely pomegranate and the top layer is pretty in pink.  I filled each slice with Hershey’s kisses.  Each slice is wrapped with a ribbon.  The flowers are from the pretties kit, dyed to match the colors of the cake.  Each flower center is a halfback pearl, also from the pretties kit.

Click here   for a printable template.  It is time consuming but easy to make.  There are 11 slices of cake for the bottom and middle layers and there are 10 slices for the top layer.  Print out the pattern on your choice of cardstock and cut and score as indicated on the pattern.  Decorate.

Supplies:

Cardstock:  chocolate chip, purely pomegranate and pretty in pink

Accessories:  Pretties kit, chocolate chip and pretty in pink taffeta ribbon
