The instructions posted below are for this gatefold wedding invitation.
This gatefold wedding invitation measures 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" and requires a square (6" x 6") envelope. The reception card measures 5" x 31/2" and requires a 51/8" x 3 5/8" envelope commonly referred to as a 4bar envelope.
The first step in creating this invitation is to cut your base cardstock to 5 3/4" x 11 1/2". You should be able to get 2 pieces from each sheet of 12" x 12" cardstock. For this invitation I used stampin’ up’s baja breeze cardstock.
Stamp the flourish from the stampin’ up stamp set, Baroque Motifs using baja breeze ink onto ONE side of your base cardstock. Score your base cardstock at 2 7/8" and 8 5/8". Using your slot punch, punch a hole in the middle of each panel close to the edge as shown here.
The next step is to cut a piece of pink pirouette cardstock to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". You should be able to get four pieces from each sheet of pink pirouette 12" x 12" cardstock.
I used publisher to create a text box sized 5 " x 5" to create the invitation wording. Print your invitation wording on a piece of whisper white cardstock. Cut the cardstock to 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".
Stamp the flourish from the stampin’ up stamp set, Baroque Motifs using baja breeze ink onto either side of the invitation wording piece.
Adher the whisper white cardstock to the pink pirouette cardstock.
Before adhering the above to your base cardstock we are going to attach the ribbon. Cut a 8" piece of wide organdy ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the middle of your base cardstock and thread each end through the slots we punched in the base cardstock as shown here. Adher the pink pirouette/whisper white cardstock piece on top of the ribbon.
Insert 1 silver brad into each of three felt flowers from the flower fusion kit. Fold the prongs back on the brad and attach a small glue dot. adher the felt flowers to the invitation.
Tie the two ends of the organdy ribbon in a bow.
Your response should be printed on a piece of whisper white cardstock cut to 4 1/2" x 3". I used publisher to create the response cards. You should be able to fit four to a sheet. Layer this piece onto a piece of pink pirouette cardstock cut to 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" and then layer this onto a piece of baja breeze cardstock cut to 4 1/2′ x 3".
