The instructions posted here are for this altered corkboard.

The first step is to cut a piece of matboard (or thick cardstock…I use the cardboard piece that comes with the designer paper) and a piece of flowers for you designer series paper to 8" x 8".  Adher the designer paper to the matboard.

The next step is to cut your corkboard to 6" x 6".  Cut two pieces of coordinating ribbon to 12".  I used regal rose and tempting turquoise grosgrain ribbon.  Wrap them around the cork and adher the ends to the back using a piece of tape.

Center and adher the corkboard to the decorated matboard.

The final step is to attach your ribbon to hang your corkboard.  Cut a piece of coordinating ribbon to 12".

We will need to punch two holes in the corkboard.  Measure about  1/2" down from the top and 2" in from each end and using your 1/8" punch, punch the holes.  Thread the ends of the ribbon (one through each hole and tie a knot.

Your finished!

Now, on to make the marble thumbtacks….

  1. Punch out several circles using your 1" circle punch.  You’ll need one for each marble.
  2. Put a drop of crystal effects glue on the punched circles with the RIGHT SIDE FACING UP.
  3. Adher the marble to the punched circle.  You’ll need to let this dry for about an hour.
  4. Once dry turn the marble over and put a drop of crystal effects on the back of the marble.
  5. Adher your thumbtack just as you adhered the marble in step 2.  Let dry.
  6. Arrange on corkboard
